Traditional calendar applications are evolving to become more emotionally resonant and intelligent. Samsung has integrated a range of AI capabilities into its Calendar app through the One UI 8.5 update. Key enhancements of this update encompass: AI-driven visual effects, where the calendar countdown widget is capable of automatically generating appropriate backgrounds in accordance with event titles; the inclusion of natural language search functionality, simplifying the process for users to swiftly find events; and the introduction of novel features like concealing expired plans, marking reminders as finished, and incorporating multiple images, all of which contribute to greater flexibility in information management. Additionally, the Reminder app has undergone optimization with the addition of new early warning configurations. At present, these features are undergoing testing in the beta version for devices such as the Galaxy S25.
