Foxconn is actively pursuing subsidies from the Japanese government, with the aim of manufacturing artificial intelligence (AI) servers at its subsidiary Sharp's factory located in Kameyama City, Mie Prefecture. In pursuit of this objective, Foxconn has formally presented a comprehensive plan to Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry. This plan is centered around securing a reliable supply of NVIDIA chips, which are essential for the production of AI servers within Japan.
