The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of South Korea announced on Wednesday that the government plans to invest 700 billion won (approximately $478 million) next year to support artificial intelligence (AI) transformation projects in the manufacturing industry, covering the research and development of device-side AI chips and the export of AI factories. The government-led "Manufacturing Industry Artificial Intelligence Alliance (M.AX)" unveiled five key projects to be promoted next year at its first general meeting.
