Recently, Google made an announcement regarding the integration of the 'atmosphere programming' tool, Opal, into the Gemini web application. Now, users have the ability to directly utilize Opal within their browsers to construct AI-powered mini-apps. These mini-apps can then be saved as custom assistants within Gemini, known as 'Gems'. Opal, a creation of Google Labs, boasts support for both natural language and visual programming. This innovative tool empowers users to craft visual workflows by employing prompts, AI model calls, and tool connections. All of this can be achieved without the need for writing a single line of code, facilitating the swift creation and sharing of AI mini-programs. Earlier, Opal extended its public beta availability from the United States to encompass 15 countries. Additionally, it introduced features like a debugging panel and intelligent error diagnosis. The integration of Opal into Gemini's web version is set to further reduce the obstacles associated with AI application development and significantly boost development efficiency.
