Based on the most recent survey conducted by Startup Genome, as referenced by the German data agency Statista, between 2023 and 2024, a staggering 66.2% of Beijing's venture capital investments were directed towards artificial intelligence projects. This impressive figure places Beijing at the forefront on a global scale, outpacing prominent tech hubs such as Silicon Valley, which saw 62.4% of its venture capital investments go into AI projects; the Toronto - Waterloo Corridor with 50.3%; and Paris at 43.2%. Meanwhile, Shanghai claimed the fifth position on the list, with 21.5% of its venture capital investments flowing into the AI sector. This data underscores the significant clustering effect within China's AI investment landscape.
