According to The Verge, during the briefing for the release of GPT-5.2, Fidji Simo, CEO of OpenAI's Applied Business, revealed that the company plans to introduce an 'adult mode' in ChatGPT in the first quarter of 2026. This feature is designed to first enhance age prediction capabilities before officially introducing adult content functions, ensuring the automatic identification of underage users and enabling content restrictions. Currently, the age prediction feature is in its early testing phase and has been tested in some countries to evaluate its ability to identify teenagers and avoid misjudgments.
