On December 9, the three major U.S. stock indices ended the trading session with divergent results. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 0.38%, while the Nasdaq Composite Index eked out a modest gain of 0.13%, and the S&P 500 Index saw a slight decline of 0.09%. Among large-cap tech stocks, performance was a mixed bag. Tesla, Google (Alphabet), and Arm all saw their shares climb more than 1%. Meanwhile, Microsoft and Amazon experienced minor upticks. On the downside, Meta's shares dropped by over 1%, and Nvidia and Apple both witnessed slight declines. Chinese concept stocks, which are popular among investors, generally took a hit. Baidu's stock plummeted more than 4%. XPeng Motors and Li Auto both fell over 3%, while Bilibili saw a decline exceeding 2%. Additionally, shares of Alibaba, iQiyi, Tencent Music, and NIO all dropped by more than 1%.
