On December 8, Li Liang, Vice President of Douyin Group, shared his insights on AI mobile phone assistants via his personal Weibo account. Using the example of hailing a taxi, he explained that when users employ an AI assistant to book a cab and navigate, multiple apps and data sources come into play, including geolocation services, taxi-hailing apps, map navigation, traffic updates, and payment systems. However, he emphasized that this process fundamentally involves the user granting the assistant permission to perform these tasks on their behalf. It does not entail any form of intrusion, hacking, or violation of privacy. Li Liang noted that this is merely one of countless scenarios where AI can be applied. Despite the hurdles in the implementation phase, he believes that such AI-powered assistants will eventually become ubiquitous.
