On December 8, the Sino - Thai Quantum Science and Technology Symposium took place in Bangkok. This event gathered nearly a hundred experts and scholars hailing from over ten universities across China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Their collective presence was to jointly mark the inauguration of the Quantum Science and Technology Joint Laboratory.
During the symposium, the Anhui Provincial Key Laboratory of Quantum Networking, which is part of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), and the Faculty of Science at Chulalongkorn University entered into a formal agreement. This agreement paved the way for the official establishment of the USTC - Chulalongkorn University Joint Quantum Science and Technology Laboratory.
Moreover, both institutions signed a memorandum of understanding. Through this, they reached a consensus on furthering their cooperation in areas such as quantum science and technology, as well as AI - driven chemistry. (In English, "AI chemistry" can be more precisely expressed as "AI - driven chemistry" to better convey the idea that AI is the driving force in the field of chemistry research.)
