At the 2025 Tengchong Scientists Forum, Wang Xingxing, the founder of Unitree Technology, delved into the "anthropomorphic" rationale that underpins the development of humanoid robots. He emphasized that consumers exhibit a greater propensity to buy robots that closely resemble humans in appearance. At present, AI predominantly operates on data-driven methodologies. However, there is a scarcity of high-quality motion data that is essential for the development of humanoid robots. Unitree Technology addresses this challenge by gathering authentic human motion data to train its robots, thereby empowering them to mimic human movements with precision.

Wang Xingxing also expressed his view that the current AI models in the realm of embodied intelligence are still far from perfect. He proposed that if a robot could successfully accomplish 80% of tasks in 80% of unfamiliar scenarios, it would mark a significant milestone, akin to the "GPT moment" in the field of AI language models. Furthermore, he disclosed an intriguing possibility: robots might be deployed to attend the conference in his stead next year, facilitating remote control and enabling real-time interaction with attendees.
