On December 5, the "2025 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area New Economy Development Forum & 21st Century Technology Annual Conference" took place in Guangzhou. At this significant event, Wei Chang, the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Midea Group, officially introduced the industry's inaugural six-armed wheeled-legged super humanoid robot, named 'MIRO U'.
Midea has independently developed the core technology behind this robot. It boasts features such as stable lifting capabilities, 360-degree in-place rotation, and precise, flexible control over its six robotic arms. By the end of the year, MIRO U is set to be deployed at Wuxi's dual high-end washing machine factories. This deployment aims to boost the production line's rhythm and enhance the efficiency of line-change adjustments.
Furthermore, Midea's 'MIRO' series robots, designed for industrial settings, have undergone three generations of iterative improvements. Meanwhile, the 'MILA' series robots, tailored for commercial and household environments, have reached the final testing phase. There are plans to introduce these robots in offline experience stores in 2026. Midea remains committed to increasing its investment in research and development (R&D) within the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics, with the goal of driving the widespread adoption of humanoid robots.
