Consequently, readers are compelled to click on "View more" to access the original headline. At present, this initiative is merely in the experimental phase. Should there be a strong negative public reaction, Google may reconsider or discontinue the project. In recent years, Google has demonstrated a propensity to prioritize the promotion of its own products while diminishing the referral traffic to news websites. Despite its assertions that AI-driven search will not spell the doom of the internet, the company continues to grapple with gaining the trust and approval of news organizations.
