AI-focused startup Anthropic has brought in law firms to lay the groundwork for what could be one of the most significant initial public offerings (IPOs) in history, with the possibility of launching as soon as 2026. At present, the company is engaged in talks for a private funding round, anticipating a valuation that could surpass $300 billion. Concurrently, Anthropic is in discussions with several leading investment banks about potential IPO strategies. However, these conversations are still in their nascent and informal phases, with no selection of underwriters made yet. A spokesperson for the company mentioned that operating in a manner akin to a publicly traded entity is a common approach, and that no concrete decisions have been made regarding the timing or execution of an IPO. The spokesperson also noted that there is no additional information to disclose at this juncture.
