According to a report by The Information, OpenAI's CEO, Sam Altman, has declared that the company is now in a "red alert" mode. In response to this, OpenAI will redirect more of its internal resources toward expediting enhancements to ChatGPT. These improvements encompass a range of aspects, such as boosting personalized features, elevating image generation capabilities, increasing response speed and stability, and broadening the range of questions that can be answered. Concurrently, the company has made the strategic decision to postpone the progress of non-core projects. This includes projects in the advertising sector, AI agent initiatives for health and shopping, as well as the personal assistant project known as Pulse. Altman emphasized that this strategic shift is aimed at countering the competitive pressure exerted by rivals like Google and strengthening OpenAI's foothold in the market.
