According to TechCrunch, OpenAI has revealed that ChatGPT will no longer feature a separate, standalone voice mode. Instead, users will be able to engage in voice interactions directly within the chat interface. The revamped design enables real-time viewing of AI-generated responses as users speak, incorporating visual aids such as images and maps. Additionally, users can conveniently access their chat history at any point during the conversation. The interface seamlessly integrates voice and text interactions, providing a more intuitive and natural user experience. This updated mode is now being progressively rolled out to all mobile and web users. However, for those who prefer the previous standalone voice interface, it can still be activated in the settings menu.
