On November 26th, NVIDIA addressed Wall Street's concerns that Google's AI chips might pose a threat to its leading position in the AI infrastructure market. On Tuesday, NVIDIA asserted that its technology maintains a one-generation advantage over the competition. NVIDIA remarked, "We commend Google for the remarkable strides it has made in the AI arena and will persist in supplying products to them. NVIDIA currently stands one generation ahead of the industry, being the sole universal platform capable of executing all AI models and catering to a diverse range of computing scenarios."

Earlier reports had suggested that Meta, a significant client of NVIDIA, might ink a deal with Google to deploy Google's Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) in its data centers. Consequently, NVIDIA's stock price took a 3% hit on Tuesday. In its rebuttal, NVIDIA underscored that its chips provide superior flexibility and robust functionality in contrast to ASIC chips like Google's TPUs, which are usually tailored for a specific company or function.
