The Japanese government is poised to classify pivotal technologies within the realm of economic security as "National Strategic Technologies." These technologies span six crucial sectors: artificial intelligence (AI), advanced robotics, quantum technology, semiconductors and communications, biotechnology and healthcare, nuclear fusion, and space exploration. In a bid to bolster its position on the global technological stage, the government will accord priority to the allocation of research funds. Moreover, it will introduce tax incentives to spur investment in these technologically competitive domains. This initiative aims to furnish holistic support, encompassing every stage from the inception of startups to the practical application of these cutting-edge technologies.
