He highlighted that China has now risen to become the world's foremost contributor of open-source large AI models. Models such as Qwen, DeepSeek, and Kimi have secured top positions on the LMArena platform, showcasing China's prowess in this domain.
Citing a recent U.S. report, Ni Guangnan pointed out that a staggering 80% of American AI innovation firms rely on Chinese open-source models, underscoring the profound international impact of China's open-source ecosystem. Furthermore, the OpenEuler community has witnessed remarkable growth, amassing over 2,100 member organizations and 23,000 developers. Global downloads of OpenEuler have soared past the 5.5 million mark, a testament to its widespread adoption and popularity.
Ni Guangnan reiterated the critical importance of adhering to open-source principles, fostering open collaboration, and promoting joint innovation. He stressed that these efforts are essential for solidifying the foundation of operating systems in the era of "AI+", where artificial intelligence is seamlessly integrated into various aspects of technology and daily life.
