On Wednesday (local time), at the U.S.-Saudi Investment Forum, during a panel discussion centered on AI and technological advancement, Elon Musk and Jensen Huang engaged in a conversation about the prospects of space AI.

Musk emphasized that as human civilization progresses, the integration of AI into space endeavors is an inevitable outcome. He pointed out that Earth captures merely one two-billionth of the total solar energy accessible in the universe. To harness energy on a scale that far surpasses what's available on our planet, venturing into space exploration is an absolute necessity.

Musk made a bold prediction, stating that within the next four to five years, utilizing solar-powered AI satellites for AI computing could emerge as the most cost-effective approach. He was firm in asserting that this timeframe would not extend beyond five years.

It's worth noting that Musk had previously disclosed his ambitious plan to deploy AI systems in space with a capacity of 100 gigawatts annually.
