Yang Xu, CEO of Lenovo LiNSTOR, remarked that artificial intelligence (AI) technology is currently experiencing rapid growth, with AI large-scale models emerging as the pivotal driving force behind intelligent transformation across diverse industries. Nevertheless, AI large-scale models encounter a multitude of challenges in real-world applications, many of which are intricately linked to data storage and utilization. The training and inference processes of AI large-scale models necessitate extensive data support, placing immense demands on the capacity, performance, and stability of storage systems. The exponential surge in data volume mandates storage systems that boast both substantial capacity and efficient data access capabilities. Meanwhile, the extensive data read and write operations inherent in model training require storage systems to exhibit high input/output (I/O) performance, high bandwidth, and minimal latency. Furthermore, storage systems must guarantee robust data security and privacy protection measures to avert data loss or leakage. To tackle these challenges head-on, Lenovo LiNSTOR has unveiled high-performance storage products and solutions, including the ASA A-series high-performance Storage Area Network (SAN) storage and the unified hybrid flash FAS series. These offerings empower enterprises to construct efficient and reliable storage infrastructures, thereby fueling the widespread adoption of AI technologies across various sectors.
