On November 6, Meituan made an announcement stating that all its partnered in-dining restaurants nationwide have fully embraced the AI operational assistant designed specifically for in-dining services, known as 'Smart Shopkeeper'. At the same time, 'Smart Shopkeeper' has enhanced its merchant services through the introduction of the 'Zero-Barrier AI Access' initiative. This initiative provides a holistic range of services, encompassing exclusive AI operational diagnostics and a 'plug-and-play' AI toolkit, all aimed at assisting merchants who are new to AI in getting up and running swiftly. The assistant was officially rolled out on October 16 and, during its pilot phase, has already catered to over a million restaurants, with 30,000 restaurants participating in AI-driven conversations on a weekly basis.
