The United States has slapped export controls on NVIDIA's cutting-edge AI chips bound for China, in a bid to stifle China's technological advancement. Nevertheless, NVIDIA's CEO, Jensen Huang, remains preoccupied with the Chinese market. In a recent interview, he voiced his aspiration for an improvement in U.S.-China relations, which he believes would pave the way for NVIDIA's re-entry into the Chinese market. Huang pointed out that China is now capable of manufacturing millions of AI chips on its own and is no longer dependent on U.S. technology. In fact, it doesn't even need the U.S. to make a comeback in its market. However, he contends that such a re-entry would be mutually beneficial for both China and the United States. Moreover, he warned that if NVIDIA were to be shut out of the Chinese market, the United States would incur greater losses than China.
