Recently, the AI scientist system DeepScientist, crafted by Professor Zhang Yue's research team at Westlake University, has drawn significant attention. This system stands as the inaugural AI scientist system endowed with comprehensive research capabilities, operating independently without the need for human intervention. It exhibits goal-driven and continually iterative abilities, progressively outperforming the latest accomplishments of human researchers in pioneering scientific endeavors. In AI text detection tasks, DeepScientist formulated and verified over 1,000 hypotheses within a mere two-week span, achieving advancements comparable to three years of human labor. The methodologies it devised led to a 7.9% enhancement in performance, eclipsing the existing top human solutions. Furthermore, the system has also set new benchmarks in tasks including agent failure attribution and LLM inference acceleration.
