On October 20, 2025, the three major A-share indices closed up collectively. The Shanghai Composite Index rose by 0.63%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose by 0.98%, and the ChiNext Index rose by 1.98%. Stocks in the optical module and lithium battery sectors led the gains. Cambridge Technology hit the daily limit, while Zhongji Innolight and TFC Communication both rose by more than 7%, and CATL rose by over 2%. The gold, rare earth, and agricultural sectors were among the top decliners. Hunan Silver fell by the daily limit, and Western Gold approached the daily limit.
