On October 20, the spokesperson for the National Bureau of Statistics addressed inquiries regarding the national economic performance during the first three quarters of 2025. They highlighted that the enabling impact of artificial intelligence (AI) has markedly intensified, and the digital economy is exhibiting a robust trend of development.

Since the start of the year, proactive measures have been taken to deploy cutting-edge technologies, including AI and brain-computer interfaces. These initiatives radiate a palpable sense of technological progress and a forward-looking vision, offering strong momentum for the swift expansion of the digital economy.

In the first three quarters, the added value of the digital product manufacturing sector, encompassing enterprises above a designated size, rose by 9.7% year-on-year. Simultaneously, the added value of the information transmission, software, and information technology services sector witnessed an 11.2% increase. Within the high-tech manufacturing industries for enterprises above a designated size, the added value of intelligent unmanned aerial vehicle manufacturing and intelligent vehicle-mounted equipment manufacturing surged by 59.9% and 25.1%, respectively.

As digital products and intelligent terminal devices gain widespread popularity, the application of large-scale models has spurred corporate demand for computing power. Consequently, server production has experienced an 11.5% year-on-year increase.
