As reported by CCTV Business, during the National Day holiday period, Hangzhou traffic police, for the inaugural time, employed intelligent AI glasses, crafted by indigenous enterprises, for their patrol duties. Li Yuwei, a dedicated officer from the Lingyin Squadron of the Scenic Area Brigade, which falls under the Traffic Police Detachment of the Hangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau, was also seen donning this cutting-edge gear. These glasses boast a state-of-the-art 4K high-definition camera, capable of instantaneously recognizing license plates. The camera then swiftly cross-references this data with backend reservation records in real-time, delivering the results from a first-person viewpoint. Vehicles that have been reserved are seamlessly permitted passage, whereas those without reservations receive appropriate guidance. This innovative approach has dramatically reduced the verification time from over ten seconds to a mere two seconds. Furthermore, the Nanjing traffic police have embraced this technology, utilizing it for vehicle identification tasks within scenic zones.
