Yesterday local time, Samsung Group and SK Group both announced the establishment of multi-dimensional strategic partnerships with OpenAI, with collaboration extending beyond HBM DRAM memory supply to encompass multiple areas of the AI industry. Samsung Electronics will provide OpenAI with HBM, advanced chip packaging, and heterogeneous integration technologies. Samsung SDS will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating the Stargate AI data center, and will serve as OpenAI's enterprise AI business agent in Korea. Samsung C&T and Samsung Heavy Industries will collaborate on the development of floating data centers. SK Hynix will become OpenAI's HBM supplier, while SK Telecom will participate in the construction of the 'Stargate Korea' AI data center.
