According to a research report from CSC Securities, Huawei has recently announced a lineup of upcoming and planned new AI computing power products. These include the Ascend 950PR, Ascend 950DT, Ascend 960, and Ascend 970, which are set to be released in the first quarter of 2026, the fourth quarter of 2026, the fourth quarter of 2027, and the fourth quarter of 2028, respectively. The development of these new products focuses on enhancing computing power and bandwidth, catering to the escalating demand for AI computing capabilities.
In addition, Huawei has unveiled the Atlas 950 super node, a system capable of supporting up to 8,192 Ascend cards based on the Ascend 950DT. This system features full-optical interconnection between cabinets, significantly amplifying its total computing power. The Atlas 950 super node is expected to hit the market in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Furthermore, in a strategic move, NVIDIA has decided to invest $5 billion in Intel, with the aim of collaboratively developing AI infrastructure and personal computing products.
CSC Securities remains optimistic about the computing power infrastructure industry chain. The firm anticipates a resurgence in domestic demand for AI computing power between September and October and advises investors to keep a close eye on domestic cloud service providers.
