On September 20, 2025, Elon Musk made an announcement stating that, come November, the algorithm underpinning his social media platform X (previously known as Twitter) will be entirely powered by artificial intelligence. Earlier, Nikita Bier, who serves as the head of product at the X platform, had mentioned that the platform is dedicated to assisting users in breaking away from the influence of 'mainstream algorithms and political campaigns', enabling them to discover distinctive niches. In response, Musk elaborated that by November, the algorithm will not only be fully AI-driven but also witness significant advancements. He further revealed that the algorithm's source code will be made publicly available every two weeks. Subsequently, users will have the capability to dynamically tailor their information feed by issuing commands to Grok, the AI assistant integrated into the platform.
