Elon Musk’s xAI has added a fresh offering to its array of products—the Grok 4 Fast model. Users can utilize this model by selecting it through the model selector on the Grok web interface. However, they must first activate the 'Early Access Beta' option in their 'Subscription Settings'. The standout feature of the Grok 4 Fast model is its remarkable speed, delivering responses up to 10 times faster than those of the standard Grok 4. Embracing a 'speed over complexity' design ethos, this model is ideal for users who value immediate results. Yet, it's worth noting that when tackling creative or intricate tasks, the model might fall short in terms of content depth and detail. Earlier, this model underwent testing under the internal beta codename 'Sonoma' and is presently in the 'Early Access' stage. It might eventually be rolled out to free users and could even take the place of Grok 3 down the line. Moreover, xAI has incorporated an 'Update Log' section into the Grok web interface, and plans are in the works to adapt the Grok 4 Fast model for mobile apps in the future.
