During the main forum of the 2025 National Cybersecurity Publicity Week, the 2.0 iteration of the Framework for Artificial Intelligence Security Governance was formally introduced. Earlier, Version 1.0 had been launched in September 2024, capturing considerable attention. In light of the swift evolution of artificial intelligence technologies and their applications, the National Internet Emergency Center, operating under the auspices of the Cyberspace Administration of China and in partnership with various stakeholders, developed Version 2.0. As a technical document from the National Cybersecurity Standardization Technical Committee, this new version builds on the foundation laid in 2024. It integrates the latest technological advancements and real-world application experiences to enhance risk categorization, delve into tiered management mechanisms, and recalibrate preventive and governance strategies.
