On September 11, 2025, Hongrun Construction announced its strategic equity investment in Matrix Super Intelligence. The two entities will collaborate to set up a joint venture company, with a focus on the research and development, manufacturing, and commercial deployment of humanoid robots.

In July, during the World Artificial Intelligence Conference held in Shanghai, Matrix Super Intelligence presented its self-developed Matrix-1 humanoid robot. This product has not only been put into use but has also secured orders. The Matrix-1 humanoid robot adopts a full-stack technological architecture. Standing at a full height of 1.7 meters, it boasts bipedal locomotion capabilities and is equipped with two dexterous hands.

It is positioned to go head-to-head with Figure from North America. The products currently under development are even lighter. In terms of mobility, form, load-bearing capacity, execution, and reliability, they are on par with the third-generation models produced by leading North American companies.
