Google has unveiled an economical AI subscription service named 'AI Plus,' which is currently accessible in Indonesia at a monthly cost of roughly $4.6. Positioned as an intermediate option between the free tier and AI Pro, this plan is designed to make Google's AI services more attainable for users in emerging markets.
Subscribers to 'AI Plus' will benefit from enhanced access to Gemini 2.5 Pro, an extended context window of up to 128K tokens within the Gemini app, as well as utilization rights for Veo 3 Fast, Google Flow's video production tools, and the Whisk image-to-video converter. Moreover, users can leverage the Gemini sidebar in Gmail, Google Docs, and Sheets, enjoy prolonged access to NotebookLM, and receive 200GB of storage through Google One.
At present, this subscription plan is exclusively available in emerging markets, with Indonesia being the initial launch country. To subscribe, individuals must be at least 18 years old and possess a personal Google account. While there are plans to potentially extend the service to additional countries in the future, no definitive timeline has been disclosed yet.
