For the first time ever, South Korea recorded over 20 million ChatGPT users in August. According to insights from Wiseapp Retail, an industry monitor, ChatGPT, created by OpenAI, amassed 20.31 million monthly active users during the month, marking a substantial year-over-year growth and accounting for 40% of the total smartphone user base in the country. The gender distribution of users is nearly balanced, with the primary age group falling between 20 and 40 years old, comprising nearly 70% of the total user base.
