The "Measures for Identifying AI-Generated Synthetic Content," jointly issued by the Cyberspace Administration of China and three other departments, officially came into effect on September 1. These measures stipulate that all content generated by artificial intelligence (AI), encompassing text, images, videos, and other forms, must be distinctly labeled with either explicit or implicit identifiers to "disclose their origin." Explicit identifiers, such as text, sound, and graphics, are designed to be readily noticeable by users. In contrast, implicit identifiers are embedded within file data through technical means, remaining concealed from direct view.
