Starting September 1, 2025, the 'Measures for Identifying AI-Generated Synthetic Content', jointly issued by four departments, will come into effect. These measures are designed to standardize the identification management of AI-generated content, mandating that AI-created text, images, videos, and other forms of media must be accompanied by explicit or implicit identifications. This requirement aims to curtail the dissemination of false information and safeguard the integrity of the online ecosystem. Service providers are obligated to include easily perceptible prompt identifications or technical markers and remind the public during content distribution. Furthermore, the measures delineate the verification responsibilities of content dissemination platforms, user identification obligations, and measures for addressing violations, thereby fostering the healthy growth of the artificial intelligence industry.
