The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing has officially inaugurated a logistics engineer training base in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province. This initiative aims to tackle the industry and employment challenges posed by artificial intelligence. Situated in the nation's largest hub for the production of intelligent logistics equipment, the base will foster closer collaboration between industry, academia, and research institutions. It will enhance the training of logistics engineers and facilitate technological advancements through school-enterprise partnerships, ultimately contributing to the growth of industrial clusters. Projections indicate that by 2025, there will be a shortage of 437,000 professionals for emerging logistics roles, such as intelligent scheduling algorithm engineers, while the gap between supply and demand for drone pilots is expected to reach 453,000 individuals.
