The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, in collaboration with Alibaba's DAMO Academy, has proudly launched the AI model named iAorta. This innovative model excels at swiftly identifying acute aortic syndrome using routine plain CT scans in emergency chest pain situations, significantly cutting down the diagnosis time to just 2 hours. To date, the model has accurately pinpointed 21 cases among more than 10,000 chest pain patients, thereby facilitating prompt medical intervention. Currently deployed in the initial batch of 10 hospitals across Zhejiang, the model is poised for nationwide expansion.
