On August 25, local time, Musk's AI venture, xAI, lodged a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, accusing OpenAI and Apple of unlawfully conspiring to hinder competition within the artificial intelligence sector. Earlier this month, Musk took to social media to charge Apple with brazenly flouting antitrust regulations by favoring OpenAI in app store rankings, thereby fostering an uneven playing field for rival AI firms. Additionally, he cautioned that xAI would pursue legal recourse against Apple, querying why the tech giant declined to recommend the xAI app.
