The Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, in collaboration with two other departments, has jointly unveiled the "Implementation Plan for Speeding Up the Development of 'AI+Manufacturing' in Shanghai." This plan outlines a vision to foster innovation in multi-modal algorithms for foundational models, enhance comprehension of physical laws, and elevate capabilities in physical simulation, visual processing, and intelligent decision-making. Specifically, the plan intends to: - Strengthen the understanding of fundamental physical laws, including fluid dynamics, electromagnetism, and vacuum phenomena. - Improve the processing of industrial-related information, such as technical drawings, operation manuals, and product defect analyses. - Deepen the interpretation of time-series data and process constraint rules. Furthermore, the plan underscores the importance of augmenting the industrial reasoning capabilities of core models. This involves systematizing standard industrial operating procedures and developing a suite of reasoning datasets to facilitate the fine-tuning of industrial AI models. These comprehensive measures are aimed at fostering the widespread adoption of AI technology within the manufacturing sector.
