The Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, in collaboration with the Department of Finance, has jointly promulgated the "Detailed Rules for the Administration of Funds Pertaining to the Innovation and Development of the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Industry." According to these guidelines, national-level manufacturing innovation centers will be eligible for financial assistance towards their construction, with subsidy allocations not surpassing 40% of the total cost of newly acquired research and development equipment and instruments. Notably, the ceiling for subsidies per individual project stands at an impressive RMB 50 million. The scope of these subsidy projects encompasses enhancing innovation capabilities, nurturing high-quality enterprises, empowering new industrial benchmarks, and fostering the operations of open-source communities and ecological centers. These regulations will come into force on September 1, 2025, and remain in effect until December 31, 2027.
