In a recent exclusive interview with a People's Daily reporter in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, Wang Xingxing, the founder of Unitree Robotics, underscored the significance of computing power in the humanoid robot industry, particularly the importance of large-scale cluster computing power. He highlighted the intricate connection between robots and AI, noting that humanoid robots, constrained by battery power, are unable to house extensive computing capabilities. Wang Xingxing anticipated that distributed computing power will emerge as the dominant trend in the future. For instance, factories could establish centralized computing power hubs for nearby robots to access, ensuring ample communication bandwidth and minimal latency. He illustrated that if a robot in Beijing were to connect to a computing power center in Shanghai, the latency would be prohibitively high.
