Google has announced that the Fitbit Premium subscription service has been officially renamed to Google Health Premium, and the Fitbit app has transitioned into the Google Health app. The annual fee for the new subscription service has increased from $79.99 to $99.99, while the monthly fee remains unchanged at $9.99. After this update, Google Health will become the central hub for users' health data, with a simplified interface featuring four tabs: Today, Fitness, Sleep, and Health. It integrates the AI health coach, Google Health Coach, providing personalized fitness plans and health insights. The new service supports multimodal data entry, including typing, speaking, and taking photos, and emphasizes that users' health data will not be used for Google ads. In terms of hardware, the new device, Fitbit Air, will be available on May 26, with some Fitbit devices and the Pixel Watch fully supporting the Coach functionality. Google has committed to expanding support for more hardware in the future.
