The Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce has released a notice stating that a new subsidy policy for smart home product purchases (including age-friendly home products) will be implemented from May 8 to December 31, 2026. The program may terminate early if the subsidy funds are depleted before the scheduled end date or upon the conclusion of the policy period. This subsidy applies to five categories of products, such as walking aids and hearing aids. Consumers are eligible to receive a subsidy equivalent to 15% of the final sales price after applying any other discounts. There is a limit of one item per person per product category, with a maximum subsidy amount of 1,500 yuan per item. The policy operates on the principles of "total amount control, first-come, first-served, and cessation upon depletion," as well as "subsidies upon purchase after coupon collection." A total of 90 million yuan in subsidy funds will be allocated for the months of May and June. Eligibility coupons will be issued daily at 7:00 AM and will remain valid until 24:00 on the same day. These coupons are categorized into offline and online types, issued separately and not transferable between the two channels. Each consumer can claim only one eligibility coupon per subsidy category per day, with a maximum of four claims per natural month (two offline and two online).
