On May 7, the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce issued a notice, declaring the launch of a new subsidy policy for smart home products (including age-friendly home products) from May 8 to December 31, 2026. Under this policy, eligible products from five categories will be entitled to a subsidy equivalent to 15% of their sales price, with the maximum subsidy capped at 1,500 yuan per item. The subsidy will be discontinued once the allocated funds are depleted or the policy period concludes. All individual consumers residing in the city are eligible to apply for this subsidy. The range of subsidized products encompasses walking aids (including electric wheelchairs and exoskeleton robots), hearing aids, household oxygen concentrators (including ventilators), cleaning robots (for sweeping, mopping, and window-cleaning), and smart toilets (including smart toilet seats, which must meet Grade 1 energy efficiency or water efficiency standards).
