ByteDance Negotiates to Purchase AI Inference Chips from Iluvatar CoreX and Baidu

According to foreign media reports on June 15, ByteDance is in talks with Shanghai-based Iluvatar CoreX to purchase its AI chips for inference tasks, while also considering a similar deal with Baidu. If the deal is successful, Iluvatar CoreX will become ByteDance's third-largest domestic GPU supplier after Huawei and Cambricon. As a leading GPU startup in China, Iluvatar CoreX is expected to deliver at least 50,000 chips to ByteDance this year, with the majority used for inference tasks. ByteDance is ramping up its computing power deployment to expand the user base for its AI chatbot 'Doubao'.
