Referring to client capital flow data for the week of June 5, BofA Securities said that the S&P 500 index posted its largest weekly decline since April 2025, while its clients' withdrawals from US tech stocks reached an all-time high over the same period. Strategist Jill Carey Hall pointed out in a report that, calculated by market capitalization proportion, the scale of capital outflows from tech stocks that week hit a new high since early 2014, and the scale of sell-offs in individual stocks also set a historical record.
