On June 2, the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS), an organization comprised of leading semiconductor manufacturers, unveiled a forecast report. According to the report, the global semiconductor market is anticipated to expand by nearly 90% in 2026 compared to 2025, reaching a staggering USD 1.511 trillion, which is approximately equivalent to RMB 10.2 trillion. Looking ahead to 2027, the market size is projected to experience an additional growth of 26.6%, soaring to USD 1.914 trillion, or roughly RMB 12.9 trillion. In terms of product categories, memory chips are expected to witness a remarkable year-on-year surge of 249.5% this year, with their scale surpassing USD 800 billion and even outpacing the entire semiconductor market size in 2025. Meanwhile, logic chips are forecasted to grow by 37.3%, attaining a scale of USD 410 billion.
