In 2026, Samsung Electronics is set to further increase the supply prices of its primary NAND products during the second quarter, with the hike mirroring that of the first quarter. Given that NAND prices surged by more than 100% in Q1, if they experience another 100% increase in Q2, the cumulative rise in NAND supply prices will amount to a threefold jump compared to the levels at the end of 2025. This price escalation is attributed to a supply-demand imbalance fueled by the artificial intelligence (AI) boom. Samsung has already initiated negotiations with its customers concerning Q2 prices, and the market anticipates the upward trajectory to persist.
