On September 22, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman reported that Apple had been in the process of developing an AI-powered wearable gadget, designed in the shape of a pendant and equipped with a camera. This device could be conveniently worn around the neck or attached to clothing. Nevertheless, the project has encountered a delay, and Apple has not disclosed any plans for its subsequent launch. Initially, the device was envisioned to function as an 'always-on' visual perception hub, capturing visual data via its camera and processing it through an upgraded version of Siri. Presently, Apple is redirecting its AI research and development efforts towards enhancing the Apple Watch lineup. Additionally, the company has plans to introduce new AirPods featuring cameras, as well as smart glasses, by the year 2027.
